Chapter 3 Ingenuity from Moderate Inferiority and Poverty 3.2 Poverty is the mother of ingenuity
I mentioned earlier that inferiority complex can also be an energy source for improvement depending on how you think of it. I think many people have the similar experiences.
Many people know that moderate poverty can be a big factor in ingenuity. However, the financial poverty that hinders education or make the people steal something from others, and/or the mental poverty that envy the lives of others or resent society without self-help efforts are out of the question.
Not all hardship is bad. Failures are sometimes the mother of success. The hardship is not for others, but for ourselves. It is also said that we must be willing to endure various hardships. Similarly, moderate financial poverty does not always lead to bad things. It would rather often work better for people with thinking power and creativity. Sorry to mention the name of Mr. Konoshuke Matsushita many times, but I assume that the economic condition under which he had to start working unexpectedly from the 4th grade of elementary school was one of the conditions that he had created Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd (Panasonic). The strength of human beings against poverty is too great to understand.
