徒然なるままに (5) 製造業起業の困難性／ Writings with idle ramblings (5) Difficulties in Starting Manufacturing Business
“安くて良いものを大量に供給する”という故松下幸之助氏が唱えた水道哲学はすばらしい考え方のようで、発展途上の過去の日本には必要だったかもしれない。日本人の生活水準が向上した理由の一つはこの考えの実践だったのかもしれない。しかし、資源、環境を長期的にかつグローバルに考えればこれは良い発想ではない。良いものはそれだけ付加価値が高いのだから、相応に高く売るビジネスモデルが可能で、それで従業員を幸せすることができる。
資源の大量使用と大量消費を安価に可能にすると以下の弊害が出てきます。
＊ 物、商品が貴重な原料資源から作られていることを忘れる。
＊ 商品が完成するまでに関わってきた人々の努力、苦労を正当に評価していないことにもなる。
＊ お金の価値を見失う。
＊ 衝動買いの率が高くなり、ゴミが増える。
＊ 安価な商品は、現在では先進開発国が労働力の国別格差を利用して他者の利益や資源を搾取して実現していますが、それはフェアトレードの精神に反し罪です。
これらの理由から、これからの製造業の起業には「適正価格で良いものを必要数供給する」姿勢が必要です。この考えに従って、製造業ビジネスの起業は容易ではありません。

The late Konosuke Matsushita's
philosophy of supplying large quantities of cheap, good quality products sounds
like a wonderful idea, and it may have been necessary in Japan's developing
past. One of the reasons for the improvement of the Japanese people's standard
of living may have been the implementation of this philosophy. However, this is
not a good idea if we think about resources and the environment on a long-term,
global basis. If the products are good and have high added value, it is
possible to create a business model that sells them at a commensurately high
price and keeps the employees happy.
* Forgetting that goods and products are made from precious raw material resources.
* We do not value the effort and hard work of the people involved in the completion of the product.
* Losing sight of the value of money.
* The rate of impulse purchases increases, and the amount of waste increases.
* Cheap goods are now realized by developed countries taking advantage of national disparities in labor to exploit the profits and resources of others, which is against the spirit of fair trade and a sin.
For these reasons, future entrepreneurship in the manufacturing industry requires an attitude of "supplying the necessary number of good products at a fair price. Following this idea, starting a manufacturing business will not be easy.
