Chapter 4 Birth of Setsuden-mushi (a profitmaking device) 　4.3 Received the Energy Conservation Grand Prize 4.3.5 Sony and Sharp before and after my company

　As mentioned above, the results of the "21st Century Energy Conservation Equipment and System Award" were sent as an official document dated January 24, 1997, in the name of Sho Nasu, chairman of the Energy Conservation Center, Japan. At the same time, I received an invitation to attend the award ceremony held at the Science Hall of the Science Museum in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo on Wednesday, January 29th at 10:20 am.

　Thanks to many people, good timing and good luck, it was two years and seven months since the development of the handmade Setsuden-mushi, and it was only four months since the submission of the application for the Energy Conservation Vanguard 21 (now renamed the Energy Conservation Grand Prize) to win my first official award. It was a great honor for me.

　There was something even more exciting about this award. In the list of the Energy Conservation Center Chairman's Award that Setsuden-mushi received, Sharp was listed before our company, and Sony was listed after us, being sandwiched between two famous big companies.
